Root Creative have launched a new website for the acclaimed photojournalist, Steven Gordon.

The website has in-built Joomla CMS functionality, allowing the upload of Steven’s images to a javascript gallery. The images can be organised into separate galleries and labelled accordingly.

Steven has worked as a photographer since 1990. He started with a interest in fashion photography, but a chance to travel to Bosnia Herzegovina in 1993 changed his direction. He covered the conflict in Bosnia and the aftermath of the war until 1998, when he moved to Kosova. The next few years saw him work in the Palestinian Territories, Iraq and Sudan. He has worked for agencies such as Associated Press, Reuters, and Sygma Photo News and also had two books of photographs published on the Bosnian peace process, IFOR on IFOR and The Road to Peace.

He works regularly as a Climbing/Mountaineering photographer, doing images for the global climbing press supplying work to titles such as Rock and Ice, Climbing, Climb, Parenti, Grimper, Klettern, Gripped and Alpinist. He also regularly contributes for manufacturers Mountain Equipment, Black Diamond and Scarpa.

Clyde Paper & Print are a family run business, established in 1977 and since then have grown considerably in size and stature. Their knowledge of the printing industry coupled with a huge wealth in experience, have all contributed to Clyde emerging as leading experts in the field of paper and print.

We hope that with the advent of a presence on the web, Clyde Paper & Print will continue to grow and achieve success.

Features within the site include a Flash movie for the home page, an email enquiry form and a javascript powered navigation menu.

Scottish Renewables supports the development and provision of a sustainable energy future for Scotland. Scottish Renewables therefore promotes the effective use of Scotland’s abundant wind, wave, hydro, biomass, solar, landfill gas, tidal and geothermal resources to generate social, economic and environmental benefits for all.

The website overhaul will engage more with Members and the public by including an exclusive Members’ area, events booking form and payment gateway, latest press releases, news stories and a comprehensive publications section.

The new website will be built using the Joomla CMS framework. It will include extensive search engine optimisation (SEO) functions plus the coolest JavaScript functions to aid navigation and enhance the end-users’ experience of such an involved website. It will also reflect the new-look branding that Root Creative has also recently implemented for all printed stationery and promotional brochures.

Design and print of charity’s Annual Report

Root Creative have recently designed an Annual Report for the Dunoon-based charity, HELP. We were asked by HELP to design and print-manage the report for their promotional launch this month.

HELP aims to provide a high quality service to young people between the ages of 16 to 25 years of age, who are either homeless, in threat of homeless, or coming out of care and to support its young people to sustain a tenancy, enter employment and or training and lead a quality lifestyle.

We wish all the staff and young people involved at HELP all the very best with their projects this year.

We are delighted to announce the launch of a new website for Euro Systems Ltd, one of the UK’s leading computer leasing and IT specialists.

This comprehensive leasing E-Commerce site allows users to pick and choose any item of computer equipment, from servers through to software and add them to an enquiry basket. Users can choose whether to view costs in weekly or monthly formats and can send an enquiry to Euro Systems with a complete product breakdown.

The back-end is equally substantial, with the Joomla CMS being utilized to create a suitable E-Commerce solution. This allows Euro Systems to manage Categories and Products and allows them to produce quotations for clients, administrators can then alter and amend quotes accordingly and re-issue. This system allows Euro Systems to keep a detailed database of events and orders, and to be able to respond quickly and efficiently with their clients.

Branding design for Parliamentary renewable energy group

Root Creative have been busy designing the branding for SPREEE, a cross-party group within the Scottish Parliament that focus on renewable energy and energy efficiency in Scotland.

The brochure that was launched at the Parliamentary reception.

To celebrate their 10th Anniversary this year, we were asked by the MSPs within the group to design their logo and an anniversary brochure. Along with the design of exhibition stands, in association with The Co-operative Bank, the branding was officially launched at a recent Parliamentary reception.

A memorable decade of renewable energy saw Scotland build on its hydro-electric heritage in 2000 to embrace onshore wind, and lead the development of marine energy to commercial markets whilst supporting an expansion of the indigenous microgeneration sector in solar, wind, heat pumps and biomass. Root Creative are very pleased to be part of this huge step forward in truly making Scotland, ‘the Saudi Arabia of renewables’.

Root Creative are delighted to announce the launch of a new site for Hart Motors, a BMW & Mercedes-Benz Service and Repair Specialist based near Clydebank, Glasgow.

Root Creative were asked to design a web site for Hart Motors, a BMW & Mercedes-Benz Specialist. As well as designing the site and developing a user-friendly interface which allows users to contact Hart Motors via a quick-enquiry form on every page, photography was also required to complement the design.

Root Creative spent a day with the folk at Hart Motors and let them do what they do best, whilst we got the necessary shots required for the web site. With so many great shots available, we decided that a nice flash gallery on the home page would showcase all the areas of the business.

The end result was warmly received by all at Hart Motors and they look forward to sutstained growth, with the implementation of a fantastic new presence on the web.
