Superb, thanks for the script. I’d been using another script that I’ve posted on my own site but it fell down when I tried to use it with the SOBI2 directory and Joomla. Yours worked perfectly.

Thanks for the reply. Apologies for replying but have been away unexpectedly.
If I understand you correctly the css is linked from within the template by

(as an example).

When you tried No.1, how were you linking to your css from within your template?

Finding this script I thought was the answer to a big headache. But cannot get to work. Hopefully you might be able to advise.
Tried the following scenarios
1. Script above in /web – Frontpage ok, all others no CSS.
2. Script above in /web but changed ‘set url = /web/index.php …..’ – Frontpage ok, 404 error on all others.
3. As 2. above but with amendment suggested by LesleyT for map path into SCRATCH:DOCROOT from /web/ – error 405 when I change the Joomla SEF settings.

Any glimpse of a way forward?

Put the rewrite.script file in the root folder, which should be /web and it should work.

I’ve made this work by altering this line as well as the one you describe above.

Hi, my joomla site is in a sub directory called test on a zeus server.
Am I understanding correctly that I should use the full script above but just replace that one line? Because it’s not working for me. Your advice would be appreciated. this is what I have now.

Very well noticed! You are correct, rule 0 was a 301 redirect, and it is not needed for the SEF URL’s, that will teach me for not proof reading it well enough!

I have edited to remove the 301 re-direct, thanks for bringing that to my attention.

If I’m not mistaken ‘Rule 0′ is a 301 re-direct – is this required in the code for SEF URLs?
